La Rosaleda, escenario del boicot de Noruega al Mundial de Qatar
Más de la mitad de los noruegos desean un boicot al torneo y todo apunta a que en el templo malaguista habrá más actos reivindicativos
Es la historia que está conmoviendo a muchos países. Qatar ha sido testigo de la muerte de 6.500 trabajadores emigrantes en la construcción de instalaciones deportivas para la ocasión desde la asignación como sede del Mundial 2022 en 2010. Este hecho ha provocado actos reivindicativos en países como Noruega.
La selección nórdica jugó el pasado miércoles 24 un partido ante Gibraltar en tierras gibraltareñas. Los jugadores noruegos vistieron con una camiseta que mostraba el slogan en inglés: Derechos humanos: dentro y fuera de la cancha. El propio seleccionador admitió en la previa que querían ejercer «presión» sobre la FIFA para que sea más «dura» ante esta situación.
Una encuesta en Verdens Gang revela que a más de la mitad de la población noruega les genera rechazo las condiciones y consecuencias sobre las que se va a celebrar este evento futbolístico de calibre mundial. Es por eso que van a seguir realizando actos reivindicativos y el próximo escenario será La Rosaleda. El estadio malagueño acogerá el próximo sábado 27 un partido clasificatorio para ese Mundial entre el país escandinavo y Turquía.
Según ha podido conocer esta redacción, gran parte de los aficionados y clubes noruegos harán boicot desde sus casas al no ver el partido. Para el aficionado noruego del Málaga, Fredrik Alnæs, es un partido especial a pesar de que no tiene grandes esperanzas en la selección nacional. Su club, Lillestrøm, aún no votó sobre boicotear el mundial, pero han decidido que no viajarán a países que «no respeten los derechos humanos o las reglas de la guerra, ni que tengan campos de entrenamiento». Lillestrøm no celebrará acuerdos de patrocinio con empresas de los mismos países que representan al país o que de alguna manera son propiedad de dicho Estado.
Será La Rosaleda, por tanto, un escenario reivindicativo que podría traer consecuencias a la selección noruega de cara a un futuro cercano. Al Málaga CF, hay que recordar que dejará unos 50.000 euros, casi el doble del salario de Scepovic en el club costasoleño. Será algo más que un partido internacional para Málaga y el Málaga CF. Un encuentro que pondrá al centro de peregrinación malacitano en el panorama mundial.
